AlphaDream Corporation was founded in May 2001 as a company for interior and exterior construction. In 2000 the company name was changed to the current one and the business was shifted to the planning and development of game software.

They were also a second party developer for Nintendo, mostly doing games for their handheld consoles. Some of their key employees were former employees of Square. In October 2019 it was announced bankruptcy proceedings were started.
