Bandai America, Inc.
OverviewFrom Bandai's web site:
"Bandai has been active in the U.S. since the mid-1970s, when it became one of the initial licensees for Nintendo -- manufacturing many of the first-generation, hand-held electronic games.
Today, Bandai America is the master toy licensee for a range of action figure lines, including Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, Xyber 9, Digimon and Big Guy and Rusty. Each of these dynamic properties represents a top-rated children's television series from Saban Entertainment, airing on the Fox Kids Network. Bandai America Incorporated is a subsidiary of Bandai Co., Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan, the third largest toy company in the world, comprising 53 subsidiaries in 18 countries. In addition to toys and children's entertainment, Bandai Co.'s global interests include video game software, multimedia, music and full-length feature films, vending machines, trading cards, candies, and licensed apparel.
Bandai's U.S. subsidiaries also include Bandai Entertainment Inc., which focuses on character merchandising and Japanese anime distribution. All U.S. operations are headquartered in a large, ultra-modern facility in Cypress, Calif."
