    Apr, 1977:

    • Banpresto's predecessor company, Hoei Sangyo Co., Ltd was established at 3-2-4 Nakano, Nakano-ku, Tokyo as a manufacturing and sales company for arcade video game machines.

    Jun, 1982:

    • The company is renamed as Coreland Technology Co., Ltd.

    Feb, 1989:

    • The company becomes a subsidiary of Bandai Co., Ltd.. Coreland Technology Co., Ltd. is renamed to Banpresto Co., Ltd.

    Apr, 1990:

    • The company introduces its first home video game software.

    Apr, 1991:

    • The company introduces the first installment of the still-running game series, Super Robot Wars.

    Nov, 1992:

    • The company opens its first owned amusement facility, "Tokyo Gulliver, Matsudo."

    Feb, 1994:

    • The company acquires Unifive Co., Ltd. to reinforce development and purchasing divisions for game prize business.

    • The company's headquarters are relocated to 1230-1 Matsudo, Matsudo-shi, Chiba, and the registered address is changed to 2-4-11 Komagata, Taito-ku, Tokyo.

    Mar, 1997:

    • The company's planning and development division for home video games is integrated into Banpre Kikaku Co., Ltd. and the resulting company is renamed to Banpresoft Co., Ltd.

    Jun, 1997:

    • The company's registered address is changed to 10-8 Nihonbashi-Odenmacho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

    Jul, 2002:

    • The company headquarters are relocated to 2-16-9 Kaminarimon, Taito-ku, Tokyo.

    Jul, 2004:

    • The company headquarters are relocated and the registered address is changed to 2-5-4 Komagata, Taito-ku, Tokyo.

    Apr, 2008:

    • Following the merger between mother company Bandai and Namco, Banpresto's game business is integrated with Bandai Namco Games. Banpresto is restructured around its remaining business: merchandising for lotteries and electromechanical amusement machines.
