Overview
Blueside is a gaming developer and publisher with its headquarters in Seoul, Korea.
The company first started with the name
Blueside Studio (presumably as a studio of another company). The name changed to
BLUESIDE Inc. in October of 2003 when it broke off as "independent".
The company's first game,
Kingdom Under Fire: A War of Heroes, was released in October 2000 for PC computers 33 nations worldwide. This game won "Best PC Game" at the 2000 Korea Game Awards.
Blueside released its second game in May 2001, the MMORPG
Shining Lore. It was awarded "Game of the Year 2002" by Korea Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
During the years that followed, several sequels were released for the
Kingdom Under Fire franchise for the PC, Xbox and Xbox 360, the most recent being
Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom in Nov. 2007.
Blueside is currently developing
Kingdom Under Fire II, an MMOARTS (Massively Multiplayer Action RTS), with an anticipated release in 2009.
