Overview

Bugbear Entertainment is a game development house located in Helsinki, Finland. Company, launched March 2000, is best known for the well received FlatOut series of games (FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction was developed by Team6 Game Studios, not Bugbear).

Bugbear creates only driving games but for different audiences by visiting various subgenres. Bugbear has launched original IPs and used established franchises, making games for PC, Xbox, Xbox360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, N-Gage and Mac platforms.

Beside destruction racing like FlatOuts, Bugbear has made historic rally simulator Rally Trophy (PC, 2001), truck racing Tough Trucks (PC, 2003) and arcade rallycross Sega Rally (PSP, 2007). Continuing their path making sequels to well-known Japanese driving series, Bugbear's last released game is Ridge Racer Unbounded (2012).
