• As reported by The Associated Press, Marvel Enterprises Inc. and Marvel Characters, Inc. have sued NCsoft Corporation and Cryptic Studios. Cryptic Studios is confident that the District Court will reject all of Marvel's claims and fully vindicate Cryptic Studios in all respects.

• The company sells its part of the City of Heroes/Villains property to NCsoft Corporation. The art, programming and design leads move to a new NCsoft development studio in Mountain View, North California, entirely devoted to the further development of the franchise.
