Destineer Studios
Overview
Destineer was founded in 2001 by former
Bungie executive vice president
Peter Tamte. Destineer's CEO,
Paul Rinde, was a senior vice president of
Atari and a co-founder of the
WizardWorks Group.
Destineer develops and publishes electronic entertainment for personal computers and videogame consoles through its
Destineer, Bold Games, and
MacSoft lines. Destineer Studios is the development division,
Destineer Publishing Corp. is the publishing division.
The company has developed in-house proprietary 3D rendering technologies, built for Xbox, Macintosh, and Windows computers. They offer high-end visualization features like volumetric shadows, normal maps, and specularity along with sophisticated artificial intelligence, scripting and physics.
