    • Company expands Xplosiv brand to the Playstation 2 market.

    Nov, 2006:

    • All of Empire is acquired by Silverstar Holdings with 85 percent of the shares.

    Dec, 2006:

    • The acquisition of Empire is finalized when Silverstar Holdings acquires over 90% of the shares and gains the shareholders' approval.

    May 01, 2008:

    • Co-Founder and CEO Ian Higgins announces he will be leaving the company after 21 years of service.

    Jun 11, 2008:

    • It is announced Empire Interactive intends to close or sell the Razorworks studio.

    Jul 19, 2008:

    • Announcement made that the Razorworks studio has been sold to Rebellion.

    May 05, 2009:

    • Company officially enters administration, and its closing is confirmed by Silverstar Holdings.

    May 07, 2009:

    • Zoo Publishing, Inc. announces a deal with New World IP, LLC to license, publish, and distribute the catalog of video game software previously published and developed by Empire Interactive Europe Ltd.. This agreement allows Zoo Publishing the ability to re-release previous Empire titles, to port previously released games to new platforms, and to create new gaming content from existing Empire intellectual property.
