ERE Informatique

Overview

In 1981, Philippe Ulrich and Emmanuel Viau formed ERE Informatique, one of France's first videogame publishers. They had a string of hits over the next eight years, including Macadam Bumper, Bubble Ghost, Teenage Queen and Crafton & Xunk.

They also launched the short-lived science-fiction label, Exxos, which was responsible for their biggest hit, Captain Blood.

Despite its success, ERE suffered constant financial difficulties and was bought out by Infogrames in 1987.

In 1989, most of its key developers left to form Cryo Interactive.
