FASA Studio

Overview

FASA Studio, formerly FASA Interactive, was especially knows for its contributions to the MechWarrior series, and establishing the Mech Commander series. On 19th November 1998 they became a development studio for Microsoft. They only moved away from the FASA-licensed BattleTech games twice, with Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge in 2003 and their final game Shadowrun in 2007. The company closed its doors on 13th September 2007.

Trivia

The word FASA is an acronym for "Freedonian Aeronautics and Space Administration". The name was invented by Jordan Weisman, the original founder of FASA Games.
