Overview

Frogwares Game Development Studio is an independent game development company based in Kiev, Ukraine. Founded in 2000, the company also had branches in Paris, France and Dublin, Ireland. However, in 2011 the Paris location is no longer listed in their contact information.

The company is well known for PC games in the adventure genre and especially for those inspired by the fictional characters Dracula and Sherlock Holmes.

In 2008 Frogwares released its first games for the casual gaming market - Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: The Mystery of the Persian Carpet and Secret Missions: Mata Hari and the Kaiser's Submarines.

The company has announced that at least one game for the Wii platform is in development as well as additional PC games.

On February 4, 2011, the company announced the addition of a new studio, Waterlily Games, which "will focus on Frogware's growing role in the casual game marketplace." The first title in development by the new studio is Dracula: Origin 2.
