OverviewGASPOP software has been around since late 1995. Founded by Chrille Blomqvist, GASPOP's main goal was to create original and entertaining games using a program called Klik & Play. However, the mac port of the program was incredibly unstable and several projects had to be canceled because of it. The first game GASPOP ever released was the weird platform multiplayer game Deathpoop, which did include a small co-operative mode that turned out horrible. Deathpoop was followed by a series of several games almost as weird as the first one. Tag, a strategy game, Ouch, and Race Cars which is probably GASPOPs most famous game for the Mac so far. All of these games were two-player games and the only single player game GASPOP ever released was a platform game called Scary. Deathpoop did get a sequel which worked a lot better than the first game in the series, but after that, GASPOP software suddenly went quiet. Several games were worked on for the mac after that but none of them were finished. GASPOP decided to switch to the PC platform since there were more game creation tools available. Tons of ideas were started but later on dropped for the PC. GASPOP software recently finished their biggest project yet. A classic point & click adventure game called Pleurghburg: Dark Ages. Using Chris Jones' amazing engine, Adventure Game Studio, GASPOP software's dreams of making an adventure game, which had been with them since the start, finally came true. The game was released to much acclaim and it won five awards in 2001 AGS Awards. GASPOP is currently working on a sequel to Dark Ages, as well as a few other entertaining products.
