• Company was formed as the separate development wing of Adventure Soft Publishing by Mike Woodroffe and his son Simon Woodroffe.

Dec, 2005:

• The company sells its Simon the Sorcerer adventure license to Silver Style Entertainment e.K.

Feb, 2006:

• After the sale of important IP, and various developers leaving the studio for Codemasters, Bioware and Eurosoft, Headfirst Productions goes into administration, and the office space is up for sale. The main reason is the long development cycle of Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth (six years, of which two without publisher backing - read more) and unpaid wages.
  
  Only a few people remain to finish the PC port of Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. The other announced titles, Destiny's End (working title: Tainted Legacy) and At the Mountains of Madness, are cancelled.
