• Company founded by Ken Levine, Jonathan Chey, and Robert Fermier in Boston.

2000:

• The game Deep Cover is cancelled.
• The Australian division of Irrational Games is established in Canberra, headed by Jonathan Chey.

2002:

• Due to legal issues with Crave Entertainment, development on the game The Lost is halted.

Jan 09, 2006:

• Company acquired by Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.

Aug 10, 2007:

• It is announced the US and Australian studios are renamed 2K Boston and 2K Australia respectively.
