OverviewJ-Force was a game development studio established in 1990 by Wolf Team director Masahiro Akishino. However, the company was beset with financial problems and development delays as a result of taking too many projects simultaneously. As a result, the company didn't release its first title until early 1994.
During the development of Dragon Force in late 1994, Akishino went missing, and the company subsequently fell into bankruptcy. Dragon Force was completed in-house at Sega, while most of the J-Force staff joined the recently-established Idea Factory. Akishino's whereabouts remain unknown.
