OverviewKrysalide was founded in 2001 by two graphical designers and one programmer. In 2007 it is located in Lyon, France. It is known for providing additional development and graphics to projects.
With two programmers, the company did the Windows conversion of Kirikou (2001) for Etranges Libellules as one of the team members, Carl Pédimina, was lead programmer on the PSX version. They were in charge of improving the mesh and texture of a dozen characters in Gamesquad's From Dusk Till Dawn (2001) and also created the 3D cinematic sequences.
Krysalide created the characters for Eden Studios' V-Rally 3 (2002) and two plugins for 3DSMax in order to carry out cinematic sequences of the game. One of the programmers also helped the company for 4 months to complete the PC version (2003). They were responsible for the modeling, texturing and lighting of some levels of Kya: Dark Lineage (PS2 - 2003) to create 3D levels based on the illustrations from Eden Studios.
The company created some 3D characters for Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone (2004) and ported Titeuf méga-compet' (2004) to the PC for Eden Studios. They updated and optimized the Eden Libraries for PC, created the installation program, provided a solution for hardware compatibility problems, managed the PC specific devices and user interface, and solved timing problems. They also worked on the content (both PS2 and PC) to program some of the mini-games and manage the Eye Toy. Continuing the partnership with Eden Studios, they were involved with the Windows version of Test Drive Unlimited in 2006.
