Matrix Games, based in Staten Island, New York, produces, markets and publishes historical wargames as well as other computer gaming products. Since 2002, Matrix Games has published many award-winning games, including Airborne Assault: Highway to the Reich, Starships Unlimited, Uncommon Valor: Campaign for the South Pacific and Decisive Battles of WWII Vol 2: Korsun Pocket.

On May 10, 2010, it was announced that Matrix Games had merged with Slitherine. Both the Slitherine and Matrix names will continued to be used as publishing brands by the Slitherine Group.

Matrix Games secures rights to publish the TalonSoft line of wargames. The agreement includes the rights to publish, update and modify well known games such as the full Battleground series of games, the Campaign series, the Operational Art of War series, the Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich games as well as the Age of Sail.

July 27, 2005

The company acquires the rights to the VASSAL Engine from Vassal Engineering, software that lets you create your own, individually branded, commercial standalone application that moderates any turn-based game for human-vs-human play. Matrix Games will provide the online presence and distribution channel.
