    Aug, 1980:

    • Ōyachi Electrics Microcomputer Club is started by Naoto Ōyachi (president to this day), where he sells computers and software, runs courses and does consulting.

    Nov, 1981:

    • A Microcabin shop is started in Yokkaichi in Mie prefecture. It also serves as company office and as a computer education facility.

    May, 1982:

    • Microcabin attends trade shows, where it sells its first adventure game to great acclaim.

    Nov 26, 1982:

    • Company is incorporated with a capital of 10 million yen.

    May, 1983:

    • In its first fiscal year, Microcabin reaches an income of 100,000,000 yen.

    Sep, 1983:

    • The game software planning department is spun off as Arrowsoft.

    May, 1984:

    • Special divisions for office automation and factory automation are set up.

    Apr, 1985:

    • Microcabin enters a contract with two British software houses, selling three foreign titles in Japan.

    Dec, 1986:

    • Microcabin and Shōgakkan Production enter an agreement in which Microcabin publishes two animation-based titles.

    Jan, 1993:

    • Microcabin starts development for the PC Engine.

    Mar, 1994:

    • Development for 3DO is started.

    Jul, 1995:

    • Development for Sega's Saturn is begun.

    Jul, 1996:

    • Having supported Sharp's Zaurus platform from day one, Microcabin releases a game (as an OEM partner) for the platform to coincide with the release of the first colour Zaurus, in whose development it has also been involved.

    • MicroCabin enters an agreement with Electronic Arts, to distribute its Playstation games worldwide.
