Nihilistic Software is a computer game development studio located in Marin County, California. It is a company dedicated to establishing a small team of highly skilled developers to collaboratively create the industry’s most innovative and successful products.

Nihilistic was founded in March, 1998, signed their first publishing agreement with Activision and began work on their first series of titles.

The company staffed up with industry veterans in the areas of art, design, and programming. Nihilistic’s members’ past credits include Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2, Dark Forces, Descent, Starcraft, multiple Quake Mission Packs, Requiem: Avenging Angel, Shadows of Empire (N64), Star Wars Episode I titles such as The Phantom Menace, Racer, Pit Droids, Obiwan, Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, Prince of Persia 3D, Escape from Monkey Island, and New Legends (Xbox). The team quickly began work on Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption, a 3D roleplaying game based upon White Wolf’s paper roleplaying license. Released in May 2000, Vampire featured an innovative online storytelling system, incredible graphics, visceral gameplay and a deeply crafted story.
