Nival, Inc.

Overview

The company was founded as Mir Dialogue in 1996 in Russia and became one of the leading Russian game development studios. The company changed it name to Nival Interactive LLC in 1998 and eventually to Nival, Inc. in April 2005 when the company was acquired by Ener1 Group. The development teams remained in Moscow, but marketing, management and creative teams to aid in development were moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida (US). One month later, the company acquired development studio Targem Games.

The company's first game is Sea Legends. Other past titles include original role-playing/strategy games like the Rage of Mages series and Evil Islands, as well as the 3D turn-based strategy Etherlords, the Blitzkrieg and the Silent Storm series. The studio also developed the fifth game in the Heroes of Might and Magic series.
