Traveller's Tales Ltd.
Overview
Development studio Traveller's Tales Ltd. was founded in 1989 by
Jon Burton in the UK.
Around 1994, a number of employees left to form
Tales² (later renamed HammerHead Ltd.) When the studio went under, the directors eventually returned to Traveller's Tales.
In 2005 the company merged with
Giant Interactive Entertainment, Ltd. to form
TT Games Ltd., which also lead to their own publishing division
TT Games Publishing Ltd.
Most recently, the company has been working on adapting existing franchises with many
Disney titles and mostly notably the
LEGO series based on existing properties. The company often releases its games for a large amount of platforms at once.
In November 2007 the company was acquired by
Warner Bros. In 2008, Traveller's Tales continues to operate under its own name with
Jon Burton as Managing Director.
