David Gaider is currently Creative Director at Summerfall Studios in Melbourne, Australia, a studio he co-founded. Previously, he worked as Creative Director at Beamdog and for BioWare as both writer and senior narrative designer on games such as Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Knights of the Old Republic, and Neverwinter Nights. Most famously, he was lead writer on the Dragon Age series from BioWare: Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II, and most recently (in 2014) Dragon Age: Inquisition.

He is also a published author, having written three novels in the Dragon Age universe for TOR Books.

He specializes in writing, narrative design, game design and world creation.
