Ridley Scott is a film director and producer from England.
Scott's work includes many commercials and feature films including Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator and The Martian.
Several video games have used Scott's movies as inspiration, including Westwood Studios 1997 Blade Runner title which offered a parallel narrative to that in the 1982 film. More recently, 2014's Alien Isolation used a sequel story which followed on from the events of the 1979 movie Alien. The game's creators Creative Assembly were provided with substantial amounts of production material by 20th Century Fox whilst making the game.
