John graduated from the College of William and Mary in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology. Even though he was excited to get out into the workforce and use his degree, the job market was not very cooperative. So when he saw that Big Huge Games had an opening for a playtester, he jumped on it. Working his way up the ranks, he managed to land a design position.

As an associate designer, his main job is to work on scenarios and the scripts that run them. Every now and then they let him play the game too. Otherwise he’s always an easy mark for some ping-pong or board game action.

When he’s not working, John likes to spend time with his girlfriend, reading, and playing games.
