Developer BIO

As Director, Worldwide Technology Evangelist for the Consumer Division at Dolby Laboratories, Jack Buser is responsible for ensuring that Dolby is an essential part of the world's best entertainment technology. He works directly with hardware manufacturers and content developers in the consumer electronics, gaming, broadcast, and mobile industries to support the adoption and implementation of Dolby technologies.

Since he joined Dolby in 1998, Buser has directed both the Consumer Electronics and Gaming market segments, where he oversaw the company's key relationships with developers and licensees. He has driven successful partnerships with the world's leading game developers, game console makers, Blu-ray Disc hardware manufacturers, and entertainment studios.

Buser has also consulted on a large number of leading console and PC game titles, and has created sound effects and soundtracks to a number of leading casual games via his record label, Bfamily Records.

Buser holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois with a focus on audio synthesis, is an avid gamer, and co-hosts the popular biweekly Dolbycast podcasts.
