Sylvie Basdevant-Suzuki was born in 1963 in France and currently lives in Paris. She is married with the French-Japanese sculptor, Kenji Suzuki. She is a game developer, journalist and photo director, and she has worked for various magazines as well as the Jean-Luc Lagardère Fondation, to select five finalists each year for the International Multimedia Prize.
She was a jury member of the 2005 Photography Prize, for the same Fondation. She was involved with China: The Forbidden City as a Costume Designer, Casting Supervisor, and responsible for the Chinese Text.
She is a graduate in Mandarin Chinese, Classical Wenyen and History of Art at The National Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan. She also studied Mandarin Chinese in INALCO, Paris, France, and History of Art in Ecole du Louvre, Paris, France. Further education includes Multimedia Conception in Superior School of Audiovisual Realization, Paris. She is still working on game scenarios to be developed.
