Charles began his professional career as a game maker with Sierra Studios after earning degrees in Astrophysics and Electrical Engineering. Soon, Charles moved to Ion Storm in Dallas and contributed to the completion of titles in development there including Anachronox. After Ion Storm's Dallas office shipped it's last title, Charles joined Gearbox software to program tools, interfaces and other engine sub-systems.
