Developer BIO

Andrea Schneider is a creative and strategic marketing communications professional specializing in the video and computer game industry. Since 1996, Andrea has developed, executed and managed public relations campaigns for high-profile interactive entertainment and software companies including id Software, ION Storm, Midway, Acclaim, Gathering of Developers, Nokia N-Gage and Take-Two interactive. She has launched dozens of computer and video game titles across multiple platforms including Neverwinter Nights 2, Test Drive Unlimited, Marc Ecko’s Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure, Max Payne, Quake, Railroad Tycoon II, The Matrix: Path of Neo, multiple Dragon Ball Z titles and Unreal Tournament. Andrea has a strong understanding of game development cycles and has worked closely with many developers including Eden Games, Shiny, Epic Games, Obsidian Entertainment, Edge of Reality, PopTop Software and Terminal Reality.

Most recently, Andrea served as Director, Public Relations for Atari. There, she was responsible for driving and managing all PR including corporate communications, product publicity and events. Prior to Atari, Andrea led the PR efforts for Nokia’s N-Gage QD and the company’s move into the gaming arena.

During the course of her career, Andrea has survived 10 E3s (Electronic Entertainment Expos) and two platform transitions. She has spoken about video game PR at two industry conferences, and was a 2007 PRWeek Awards finalist in the arts, media an entertainment category for her Test Drive Unlimited PR campaign. Andrea received her B.A. in CLEG (Communications, Law Economics, Government) from The School of Public Affairs at The American University in Washington, D.C. A native New Yorker, Andrea currently resides in the East Village.
