Bob Rakosky ("BobR") was born on May 26th, 1951 in New London, Connecticut. He died of lung cancer on May 6th, 2007 at 7 AM. Before becoming a Game Developer, Bob worked in less exciting Programming gigs (for a bank, among other places). Prior to getting involved in computing, Bob was a teacher -- and a most excellent one, at that. He taught math and worked at "Alternative High Schools", in Colorado and in Virginia. He loved downhill skiing, cool music and wild patterns. Bob loved Colorado and lived much of his life in Denver. He was married to Jametha Smith, a musician who morphed into a QA Engineer, from 1977 through 1982. He was one the early and great Game Devs and he will be missed.
