Brian LeakeDeveloper BIOBrian's work in the videogame industry dates back to the Atari ST days in the mid-1980s, working on the bizarre and unique Debut (for Pandora/Interceptor Group), which was also available for the Amiga.
In 1993 Brian joined ICOM Simulations as it was being purchased by VIACOM International. Working in the Research and Development department, Brian prototyped ideas and concepts for Nickelodeon and MTV, with interactive environments, motion capture systems, and cross-platform 3D engine technology. During this period he also worked on Phantom for the Genesis, and the abortive uber-shooter Violent Seed.
In 1997 Brian moved down to California from Chicago, to join Namco. Whilst at Namco Hometek, he worked on Pac-Man World (PSone), Pac-Man World 2 (PS2, GameCube, and Xbox), and Dead To Rights (PS2, GameCube, Xbox, and later also published for PC). In 2003 Brian worked as Technical Director on a number of externally developed titles including I-Ninja. In 2004 Brian started Pac-Man World 3 with Blitz.
In 2004 Brian moved to Los Angeles to work for Vivendi Universal Games as Technical Director. Brian worked on titles such as Crash Twinsanity, SWAT 4, and Robots.
Brian became Vice President of Technology in 2006, responsible for worldwide technology strategy and oversight throughout both internal and external development. He worked on titles such as Ice Age 2, the Spyro franchise, the F.E.A.R franchise.
In June 2008, Brian moved to Disney Interactive Studios in Glendale, CA. He is currently the Vice President of Technology. Brian works with all internal DIS studios, together with key external developers and strategic technology partners.
