Richard Wah Kan founded DreamCatcher Interactive in 1996 and later DreamCatcher Europe via the liquidation of French publisher, Cryo Interactive.

Prior to founding DreamCatcher, Richard was a Software Development Manager with Apple Computer Canada Inc. and as the Vice President of Licensing & Acquisition as well as VP of International Sales with Discis Knowledge Research, Inc. In September 2002, Richard was named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year for his work at DreamCatcher.

After the acquisition of DreamCatcher by Austrian based publisher JoWood in 2007, Richard exited his post as President and CEO.

Richard is perhaps most well known for his efforts to reestablish adventure gaming as a viable genre at retail, particularly in North America.

Richard has his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario.
