Armand Cabrera splits his time working digitally and traditionally as a production artist and illustrator. His client list includes LucasArts, Wizards of the Coast, TSR, Virgin Entertainment, Fantasy Magazine and Crystal Dynamics. He was the lead artist on the simulation game Alien Alliance for Orbital Studios creating and animating alien races and their technologies using SGI workstations. Using traditional painting methods Armand created 80 background paintings for an Elliot Portwood Productions project set in medieval England and has just completed 35 background paintings for the computer game "Mysterious Island" for Virgin Sound and Vision. He lives in Napa California.

Armand Cabrera has worked in the game industry for over ten years on titles for Accolade, EA, and SSI among others. Starting at LucasFilm Games in 1990, he worked on the first Nintendo and Super Nintendo Star Wars titles. In 1998, he joined Totally Games to work on the X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter: Balance of Power and has also contributed to X-Wing Collector Series and X-Wing Alliance. Armand is Lead Artist on Bridge Commander, overseeing the art in the game and creating concept designs, backgrounds, models and environments as well as cinematic animations. In his spare time, Armand is a successful landscape artist with gallery representation in Laguna Beach and Carmel.

Armand Cabrera is one of the Bay Area's exciting artists, whose landscapes entice the viewer to linger and relish the beauty of the natural world. He brings to his canvases the insight gathered from years of experience as a successful production artist. A dedicated landscape painter, he finishes canvases as large as 24" x 30" on location. Armand's style is to paint alla prima, finishing his paintings in one sitting in the studio or out of doors.
Armand was born in San Francisco in 1955. He works professionally creating backgrounds for multimedia. His numerous clients include Elliott Portwood Productions (the creators of Carmen San Diego), LucasArts, Virgin Entertainment and Electronic Arts.
Armand is a juried artist member of the California Art Club, an artist member of the American Artist Professional League and an associate member of Oil Painters of America.
Armand was a National Arts for the Parks Competition Finalist in 2000. He has exhibited widely.
Armand worked with Totally Games in 2009 to create art on GoldWalker for Humana Inc and Oceanis for Nickelodeon Arcade.
