Growing up in Northern California, David Magliocco has been drawing since the age of six. He has been working professionally as an illustrator and animator for over 15 years. Six of those years as a staff artist and animator at Broderbund Software. There he worked on Popular CDRom titles such as Carmen Sandiego, Printshop, Prince of Persia and Math Workshop.
Since 1998, David has been operating his own business full-time, Driscal Designs, which he founded in 1993. His clients have included such companies as Mattel, Hasbro, Hallmark and LeapFrog. Along with work for hire, he also constantly works on his own projects that include animated shorts and music composition. Many of his shorts have been seen around the world, such as “TokBot vs. JokBot”, “The 5 Emotions of a Bug on a Windshield” and “Attack of the Hungrums!”. They can be found at www.driscal.com.
David’s skills as a traditional and digital artist has allowed him the versatility needed in the business. As he endlessly continues to improve his craft, David is always looking to others for knowledge and inspiration.
