Developer BiographyKiyohiro Sada (禎 清宏) is the founder and president of Pure Sound, Inc., a Japanese sound production company that produces sound for all kinds of electronic devices.
After graduating from the Osaka University of Arts with a degree in music engineering, Sada started his career in 1986 as a member of Konami's Kukeiha Club. There, usually working under the name of Kyouhei Sada, he contributed to the soundtracks of such Konami favorites as the NES version of Contra and Top Gun.
In 1988, Sada joined the newly-formed Natsume, leaving Konami in early 1989 for a full-time job there. At Natsume he would compose the soundtracks to several Konami-influenced games such as Abadox and his personal favorite, S.C.A.T/Final Mission/Action In New York. But his best-known soundtrack, in the opinion of J-pop fans, may be the one he composed for Idol Hakkenden.
Sada's last soundtrack at Natsume would be for Spanky's Quest. In 1993, he left Natsume, and on April 1 formed Pure Sound.
Today, Pure Sound composes music for video games, mobile devices, Pachinko machines, and commercials, as well as developing music composition software for SoundPool and the popular Vocaloid series. However, Sada hasn't forgotten his past - in 2011, rerecorded versions of the songs from "Idol Hakkenden" were released on Hoehoe Records, using Pure Sound's own studio, and collections of his work have been released on ROM disks.
