Mark Knight

Developer BIO

Mark started in the games industry in 1992, with Mindscape. His first title was Wing Commander Amiga and continued to write music and design sound effects for their Amiga, SNes and PC titles. He stayed with Mindscape for 5 years before being made redundant, and went freelance to write the music for the Playstation port of Duke Nukem.

After this, in 1997, he took a position with Bullfrog / Electronic Arts and wrote the music for a number of AAA titles, then moving to a sound design and lead role. After 5 years he left to work for the band Massive Attack.

The Massive Attack gig didn't last as long as Mark would have liked so he continued a freelance career for a while and eventually ended up in Scotland for a couple of years working on a number of games for Visual Science, all of which were cancelled and when the company went into administration in 2006 Mark went full circle and moved back to Electronic Arts. 6 months later, EA announced the closure of the EANW Warrington studio.

Mark is currently based in Warwickshire UK as a Lead Audio Designer for Codemasters Software Ltd.
