David McKibbinDeveloper BIO
David McKibbin has been in the gaming industry since 1988. Having previously worked at MicroProse and Electronic Arts, David joined Firaxis in 2001.
In 1973 he graduated from University of Delaware with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins. To augment his explorations into the alchemy of PC games, David obtained a masters degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins in 1990 and continues to find peace and happiness wandering inside the labyrinth of PC hardware and software.
Dave has been working in the technology industry since the early 70's - exploring the guts of microprocessors - from designing radar test circuits using the just released Intel 8080, to engineering security systems for nuclear power plants (yes, walking around inside the containment buildings in a radiation suit is very spooky) and finally to programming lottery and racetrack betting systems before finding a home in the computer game industry at MicroProse.
