Yannis BrownDeveloper BIOYannis is an Australian born composer and sound designer having has worked in the game industry since 1999. His passion for game audio grew from early childhood playing with home video game systems (such as Texas Instruments, Apple, C64, Commodore Amiga) combined with a love for composing music.
Yannis was fairly active in the Amiga demo scene - starting off as composer for a small Adelaide-based demo crew 'Frontier'. He took over management of a demoscene-based music composition competition called Groovy Compo first started by a friend. He honed his skills in tracking mod-based music (MOD, .3M, XM, IT) to the point where he started getting work requests from game companies.
2002 saw a switch from working in the IT industry to full time game audio production.
He has held positions as both freelancer and in-house audio lead over the years. Yannis has gained recognition as a specialist in hand-held audio from companies such as MacroSpace, JamDat, Senari, Astraware (Handmark), Backbone Entertainment, Binary Hammer amongst others.
With a Degree in Computer Science and an Audio Engineering diploma from SAE College of Audio Engineering his talents include sound design, implementation, technical design, composition
