Daniel Elenbaas

Developer BIO

Dan began his entrepreneurial career in 1986 as president of the successful hDC Computer Corporation – one of the first Microsoft Windows ISVs. Building upon his experience in the technology field and wanting to move toward interactive entertainment, his follow-up company created several best-selling software titles, including The Far Side Daily Planner and the Opus & Bill Screensaver, winners of several industry awards (SPA's Codie, MacEddie and BYTE.) After selling that company to Delrina Corp., Dan served as General Manager of their Consumer Division. With the formation of Amaze Entertainment in 1996, Dan has built one of the largest and most successful independent developers of interactive entertainment in the world and KnowWonder has produced a string of highly successful products including Magic School Bus, Rugrats and more. A finalist in Inc. magazine's Northwest Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year (1992), he has also served on the boards of the Washington Software Association and the Windows/PM Association.
