Developer Biography

John is an accomplished keyboard player who started writing his own music at age six. He learned recording by working in Bay Area studios in the early '90s. He worked as staff producer and second engineer for multi-platinum producer Felton Pilate in the mid '90s at his multi room facility in Niles, CA.

After taking a five-year break from music production, technology had taken yet another leap forward, It was all digital. John caught up on current technology at Pyramind "The Institute for Advanced Digital Audio Training" in San Francisco, where he received certifications in Digidesign's Pro Tools, Apple's Logic Pro, and completed other course work to earn Pyramind's Digital Producer Certificate.

In 2004 John opened Master Fade Music Services, offering composition and production services, as well as mixing and mastering. “Master Fade is a solution for Directors and Producers… and Bands looking to define and polish their sound, not another challenge.” Currently, Master Fade focuses on composition for film, video and the web, but welcomes production projects. From recording the first note to putting the final touches on the masters, or anywhere in the process Mater Fade can add polished sonic value to your sound.
