Developer Biography

Wendy "Cupcake" Kaplan started working at LucasArts in 1995 as the official duplicator, in charge of making all of the CD-Roms. The first title she worked on was Full Throttle. The company was switching over from floppies and as it got busier for her, Wendy was dubbed the "Burning Goddess." In 1997, she was given an assistant, Kellie "Twinky" Walker. Her official title is Duplication Specialist and she is an expert at creating CD-Roms, DVD-Roms, Playstation discs, and trouble-shooting both recording software and hardware.

About the nickname: Wendy had taken to calling the testers "lost boys" and one day she shared this with her boss, Mark Cartwright, and his second-in-command, Dan Connors. "Does that make Mark 'Peter Pan?'" Dan asked, laughing. "Perhaps," Wendy replied, "but then your "Tootles!'" "Fine," Dan said, "but you get a nickname too." From that day on, he called her "Cupcake." Perhaps it was in retaliation, but why then did he also start calling Kellie "Twinky?" A strange man, but then you'd already know that if you'd ever seen anything from Fiction by Louis.
