Richard started programming in 1979 in Z80 assembler and then moved to 6502 assembler in 1980.

He worked with Gil Jaysmith in the early 80's on BBC games.

Richard worked at Creative Assembly since 1998 doing mostly Core Tech; you will find his code in: AFL99, Cricket World Cup 99, Rugby 2001, Spartan: Total Warrior, Viking: Battle for Asgard and all of the Total War games.

He loves the challenges of networking, multi-threading and optimisation, especially on console.
