Rob Lay

Rob Lay founded the company Advance Reality Interactive (ARi) in 1993.

Prior to starting ARi, Rob managed the design and development of the Composium, an Emmy award winning digitial video editing tool, for Digital F/X. He was also vice president of Video Research and Design at DroidWorks, a division of LucasFilm, where he managed the software development of post-production editing tools. Rob joined LucasFilm with expertised gained from designing the CMX 3400 for CMX Systems. The CMX 3400 set the world standard for video editing.

In the area of film making, Rob received awards for his direction and production of several films and videos. Back from the Edge won Best Documentary by the American Motion Picture Society in 1990. Rob also has an advanced degree in psychology.
