Developer Biography

Sameer Malik's industry career started 3 months prior to Xbox launch in Europe in Jan 2002, at Microsoft's European Certification labs as a functional tester. After 6 months having tested over 25 submissions, he was transferred to the compliance lab where an in-depth knowledge of TCRs was gained and over 200 submissions tested over the next 8 months.

Next having been hired as QA Lead by Climax for Sudeki, Xbox title published by Microsoft, he worked during the production phase for a year before it shipped. During the following year at Climax Sameer led the QA for the Japanese and PC conversions of Sudeki, as well a promotional Volvo title (Xbox) and Crusty Demons (Xbox and PS2), and helped out with the Tron 2.0 and Black Hawk Down conversions for Xbox.

After leaving Climax he joined SCi for 9 months as a QA Technician where the projects worked on were Conflict: Global Terror/Storm, Battlestations: Midway, Rogue Trooper, Total Overdose and Hitman: Blood Money. During that time SCi bought Eidos and fully merged into their building, a few weeks before his departure for Rockstar Vienna, who had given him a role as Senior Tester.

After working for 5 months at Rockstar Vienna on Manhunt 2 for PS2, the studio was suddenly shut down by Take-Two during E3 2006.

Sameer then went on to work on Crackdown for Xbox 360 by Realtime Worlds, published by Microsoft, where he was hired on a short-term contract as a Senior Tester until the game was completed.

In 2007 he joined SEGA Europe, where he has since worked on Xbox 360 titles including Virtua Tennis 3, SEGA Rally, Virtua Fighter 5, The Club, SEGA Superstars Tennis and Beijing 2008, as well as XBLA titles including Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2 and Streets of Rage 2.
