Developer Biography

Mark Cromer is a composer, arranger, sound designer, and performer who has worked in the industry since 1996. He joined Firaxis Games in 1999 and is their Lead Sound Engineer.

He is "all about sound", whether singing and playing his guitar with the Swing Central Band (a band he founded 20 years ago that has become one of Baltimore's best Swing Bands), recording his own music CD, or creating sound for some of the coolest computer games ever made.

He has a Masters in Classical Guitar from the Peabody Institute, and is one of the most experienced digital audio engineers in the gaming business, having designed sound for games such as Magic: The Gathering, all of the Civilization II add-on packs, MechWarrior III and Falcon IV.
