Steve Danuser, known in the online world as "Moorgard", was the co-founder of Mobhunter, one of the first websites focused on game design analysis and discussion. He joined
Sony Online Entertainment in San Diego in 2003 as the Community Manager for
EverQuest II, founding one of the strongest and most vibrant communities in the MMO space.
At SOE he became a game designer on EverQuest II, contributing to the original game as well as the
Desert of Flames,
Kingdom of Sky,
Echoes of Faydwer expansions, and the
Fallen Dynasty adventure pack.
In late 2006 Danuser left SOE to join
38 Studios, founded in Maynard, MA by Boston Red Sox pitcher
Curt Schilling. Danuser has been appointed Director of Community Development and Senior Game Designer, establishing the foundation of 38 Studio's community while helping guide the development of the company's upcoming MMO.
