Jhoneil M. Centeno was born in 1969 in Manila, Philippines. He started drawing at age 6 and eventually entered Art Center College of Design in Pasadena at the age of 21. While there he took classes with legendary illustrator Burne Hogarth, and painting classes with Richard Bunkall and Steve Huston. He received his Bachelors of Art Degree in Painting in 1993.
His first job after college was with the Dreamers Guild where he work as an assistant art director for such titles as Harlan Ellison's "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" and James Gurney's "Dinotopia". Other game companies followed working on games as diverse as military sims to Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Jhoneil is now concentrating on illustration and created book covers and collectible cards for Thunderhead Games, Mystic Eye Games, Fantasy Flight Games, and others. His dream is to get rich from illustrating and eventually move to Maui, Hawaii and raise chickens.
