David Lee Roth (a.k.a. Diamond Dave) was born October 10, 1954 in Bloomington, IN. He's a rock vocalist, songwriter, actor and author best known for being the lead vocalist of the rock band Van Halen. During his solo career days (after he left Van Halen in 1985), he has worked with the guitarist Steve Vai.
