David O'Callaghan worked as an artist for Melbourne House and Beam Software during the 1980's, leaving in 1990. His first game was as a collaborating artist in the production of the Spectrum game, Mugsy's Revenge.
Among a host of titles he created for Beam and Melbourne House, O'Callaghan produced the artwork for Aussie Games and a range of the Lord of the Rings titles, including The Shadows of Mordor and The Fellowship of the Ring.
He was also heavily involved in Beam's development of licensed games for the Nintendo platform.
