Grant Dean

Developer BIO

For over 15 years years, Grant Dean has been in videogames production responsible for managing development from a proposal through to a worldwide release specialising in areas such as: project management, acquisition, intellectual property, localisation and development management.

Working with world leading publishers and studios, he has been responsible for the continuing development of a number of high profile products and franchises.

Most recently Grant was at Eidos where with his producer group managed a number of high profile games. Before this Grant set up his own consultancy Timiani Limted. Other roles have been Director of International Product Development for Midway Home Entertainment and prior to this he worked with THQ, Eidos and MicroProse in similar roles managing a long list of commercially successful videogames from developers as geographically diverse as UK, Scandinavia, Germany, France, Spain, Australia, China and USA.

Grant is an active member of BAFTA (British Academy of Film & Television Arts) and has served in the past as Chairman of the Videogames Awards Committee as well as being a Trustee on the BAFTA Council.

Despite his experience in games, Grant's roots were in television at the BBC.
