Mark Hamill was born on September 25th, 1951.
His father was in the US Navy, and he grew up in several US states and in Japan.
He majored in drama Los Angeles City College and made his first appearance on "The Cosby Show" in 1970, continuing to play in several TV shows until his career-making role in Star Wars.
Best known for playing Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy, Hamill now mainly works as a voice talent in animated movies and series, most notably Batman: The Animated Series as the Joker (as well as the Batman animated movies). He also played several villain roles in small, relatively unknown movies. He also makes guest appearances in many TV shows, and also appears in video games.
Hamill married in 1978, and has 3 children.
